GENERAL INFORMATION
Available to all residents and summer visitors, the Clinic is held at Eldredge Park, located at the Nauset Middle School, Route 28 and Eldredge Park Way in Orleans. The fields are comprised of two practice fields and the Firebirds' home field. The clinic is held during the days listed above, Monday thru Friday.
The daily Clinic instruction is from 9:15-11:15. Registration and roll call is from 9:00-9:15 and pick-up time is from 11:15-11:30. Monday mornings can be busier, so please allow extra time to sign up that day. Registration is held each day in the area next to the field house and home bullpen. The Firebirds cannot accept preregistrations, but we do not limit enrollment. Applications are available at the clinics, at Firebirds games, at the sponsors' locations, at Orleans and Eastham Chamber of Commerce information centers, or by contacting us at 508-255-0793.
If possible, please bring your own glove! Thursday is sliding day, so bring a towel. Friday is the parents-children's game. In case of rain or threat of rain, every effort will be made to hold the clinic unless conditions are too severe.
COACHING STAFF
Directed by Firebirds Field Manager Kelly Nicholson, our staff consists of outstanding college players from this year's Firebirds team. They have been selected for their dedication to youth, strength of character and accomplishments in baseball. These talented individuals assure the finest instruction available.
CLINIC PHILOSOPHY
The Orleans Firebirds Baseball Clinic is a co-ed clinic dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of baseball to boys and girls. Skill/technical instruction will cover throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running. All levels of abilities are identified and all instruction is based on the age, ability and playing experience of each boy and girl. A low instructor to child ratio ensures that each boy and girl receives personal attention and direction.
SAFETY
Every effort will be made by the staff to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Semi-soft baseballs will be used for beginners.
TUITION
You may attend on a daily ($20/day) or weekly ($70/week) basis; the weekly rate includes the Orleans Firebirds Clinic T-shirt, which may be purchased separately for $5. For children who attend multiple weeks, subsequent weeks are $65.
